It is legal for a creditor to report a chargeoff status on an account that you included in a bankruptcy. They can report the opening date, opening balance, terms, date of first delinquency, chargeoff status and the fact that it was included in a bankruptcy. They cannot, however, report your current balance or how much they charged off.

So even though I filed and placed them in my Chapter 7 they can still do this and have it listed as a charge off even though it was included in a bankruptcy. That just doesn't seem right at all. Not that it affected my credit score or anything. But it is not fair. :cry:

Will the FICO scores be calculated on the basis of both the negative items i.e.. charged off account and a bankruptcy reported in the credit report?
I guess in the case of Alexandra, the credit scores will go further down because of the new reporting by a creditor.
