Bankruptcy Creditor Listed As Charge Off On My Credit Report

My credit monitoring service sent me an email to inform me that one of my creditors that I had placed in Chapter 7 had been changed on my credit report to a charged off with a zero balance. Does that mean that it has fallen off my record or what does that mean? I have never seen anything like this before.

Can someone tell me what this mean?

It is legal for a creditor to report a chargeoff status on an account that you included in a bankruptcy. They can report the opening date, opening balance, terms, date of first delinquency, chargeoff status and the fact that it was included in a bankruptcy. They cannot, however, report your current balance or how much they charged off.
