Can someone tell me, what’s the best way to dispute a very old missed payment or something that has gone to collections? My credit score is way too low for someone with my income level. I am good about paying everything in full but things like college term bills / sorority dues hit my collections when I was way younger and my credit score is still trash, with a very low credit limit on each of my 3 cards. I’ve done everything to get it up but it’s still not enough.

To be honest I don't really understand how credit fully works. I had a family member take out multiple credit cards in my name when I turned 18, I didn't know about them for years until I applied for my first card, was declined and checked my credit score for the first time. I have since paid all of them off in full aside from one Capital one credit card. My wife and I are now trying to get a mortgage and this is holding my credit score down to about 580 still so I'd like to take care of it. The credit card apparently had a limit of $2500 and was maxed out.

Hello, I have loans with Big Picture Loans and Minto Money, both illegal in my state (GA). I have paid over the principal on both. I emailed both today using the recommended script. I received basically the same response from both saying they are not subject to state laws and operate based on the tribal laws. They both noted that my ACH withdrawal had been processed, but I was still required to make the payments on future due dates using alternate means. What are my next steps here?

Long story short life had some unexpected bumps and I ended up getting buried in a 38k in debt. It's a combination of installment loans, online lines of credit, payday type loans, and credit cards. I had no idea what I was doing at the time and can't say I know much more now. I attached a pic of what it generally looks like.

I was served today by Midland Credit Management today for unpaid debt. Long story, but I always paid on time. A disaster at my work and then covid saw me lose 40% of my pay for 16 months. I could not juggle all my debt, (never took any unemployment) and tried to arrange payments to resume once the business came back. No help from Amazon. I am slowly getting my finances back. I know this needs to be paid, but I cannot pay it all off at the moment. I can make payments, but not much yet. I have 14 days to respond to the court. What is my best action? Thank you William
