cant keep my head above the water

I can't support myself. All of my bills (mainly student loans) and NEEDED expenses such as gas food are over my monthly income. I come from a small town and live with my parents because I can't afford to live on my own, even with a bachelors degree and an actual career. My question is, is there anything I can do other than file bankruptcy?

Hi, sarah! Yes, there is help! You have student loans and other bills, as you've posted. You can feel free to call the debtcc telephone number and speak with a financial coach here. They can get your information and give you the best choices for your individual situation. They will be able to help you. Here is the number for you to call 1-800-601-1579. :D

Sarah, have you contacted your student loan company and asked if you can do a hardship deferrment? I did this and they allowed me to not make payments for six months, as well as put me on a reduced payment plan for three years. I have to make it up by paying for a longer period of time, of course, but it really helped me to get some relief. I have also had to call, since then and have the reduced payment placed on a three month forebearance. They were very nice and very willing to help. All they wanted was for me to make contact with them. Maybe your company will be the same way. It's worth a try, anyway. :-)
