Has anyone heard of Stuart Allen & Associates?

I'm another casualty of Stuart Allen. Three years ago we had a house fire. The insurance company contacted several providers for services and all the services were paid, by the insurance company expect for one, which was Electron Restoration Company. About 14 months later I got a call from Stuart Allen stating that I had received the insurance money and they wanted the money for the company they were representing. I immediately called the company and the insurance company regarding the matter. I was assured by the insurance company that the matter would be resolved. The demands by ERS and Stuart Allen were unfounded on my part. Almost 12 months to the day, I got called by Stuart Allen again. This went on my credit report as a bad debt. I called the number and spoke to a real person and it seems that took issue with me saying that either
Stuart Allen or ERS is not telling the truth. Of course the emails that ERS got from Stuart Allen stated that I called them liars and that I stated my credit was ruined... no way.. When ever you speak to any of the persons at any collection agency, always mark down the time, date, person who called and jot down what was said. It really helps when you are considering to take them to court:(

he is actually telling the truth i have had a similar situation and they are trying to collect money from me. the insurance company has my drivers license suspended right now, and i am supposed to settle with stuart allen & assoc. to get it back

This is exactly what is happening with me, I have till friday to give them 3,700 or my license is going to be revoked. I believe its a scam and have no clue on how to find out if it is.

did they say they were actually going to suspend it or did it get suspended?

It is a scam. Anyone who says they are taking your driver's license is a lying piece of crap.

I got a call from Stuart Allan and associates saying I'm going to lose my driving privileges! First off I haven't been in an accident in over 12 years an that was when someone rear ended me and that was settled. If this is a collection agency I'm up to par with my credit an student loans. So why the hell are they calling me from Tucson Arizona when I live in California and have never been traced to Arizona.
What is going on?

have them send somethign stating whe the actually debt is in writing. I always get "colletion agencies" calling me but they never send anything. They try to scare you so you can set up some kind of a payment arrangement. Do not provide them w/ any financial information.
