I was paying in finance charges alone

I owe about 3500 in payday loans. I was paying about almost $1600 every two weeks in finance charges, so decided to close my acct and set up payment arrangements with the companies directly. Now it seems im in worse shape then before. The repayment amts are almost double the finance charges and im still unable to get a break. I have two questions. 1 Can Payday loans be consolidated and 2 can i send then in whatever i can without them pursuing legal action. Im in Michigan. Thank you

Brandy,

Welcome, There are meny people here who can help you.

First you need to let us know if the loans are internet or store front. Then list what companies you borrowed from, how much you borrowed and the total of how much you have paid back. Someone will be along with the Michigan laws which can help you knwo where legally you stand with the companies. Pay day loans can be consolidated using companies or you can do this yourself. It is your call. I know that is a lot of information to get together, but it will allow us to help you better.

Brandy,

I re-read what I posted..I was not very clear, Please post each company's name, the amount you borrowed from each company and the total amount you have paid back to each company.

Sorry about that, I was trying to do two things at once..which eveidently I either need to stop or work on.

And in regards to the question as to whether PDL's can be consolidated, there are several companies that are now doing this. What you need to do is research the various companies by using the Google function on the site and then ask for input from the community among members who have used them. Two companies that come to mind are Langhorne debt solutions and Town and Country. Research all of your options and then decide which one best meets your needs. Good luck and let us know how it's going, OK?
