My response from Island Day Loans

Well, they finally responded to my MANY e-mails..here it is:

Quote:
You entered and signed the agreement without verifying if we were
licensed in your state. You willingly searched out our company and
made the choice to loan by our laws(the agreement you signed). It is
unfortunate that now in a collection state you feel you don't need to
pay the interest you agreed to. You have only paid $120 towards the
loan. We will need to get the full amount loaned to you ASAP
(remaining balance of $180.00). We are willing to agree to the
request listed above (not contacting you by phone) only if the loan is
being paid and the payments agreed on are made on time. You can view
all the information you need online under the member section.

Please let us know when within the next few days we can collect the
money that was loaned to you. The sooner we can get this account paid
and closed the better.

Let us know if you have any other questions."

This is actually good news, because now I only have to pay them what I actually owe them rather than the $390 they were asking for. I have to laugh though, at the first sentence....I guess they aren't licensed, huh!

I ended up doing that also, I responded to their e-mail. Originally, I had sent them an e-mail through their site, but I really don't think they respond to those. They payment had to bounce for them to contact me at all. Now at least I have a phone number, but that doesn't do me much good. I need to the address also. Are they even located in the US?

Imagine my surprise this morning when I got another reply from them! They will accept money orders, I did have the correct address and they will accept what I owe them on the principal! They want it in two payments (I offered 3), but I guess I can bend on that issue. As long as they are out of my hair, I will be happy.

Did you get a reply from them?

It was even signed "kindest regards"! This is starting to be a good day!

Let me know if/what you hear from them.
