Do i have to pay paydays loans after bankruptcy?

I filed bankruptcy on a payday loan, now they're calling me for payment. Do i have to pay the loan back?

Brownsugar is right, whether it is a chpt. 7 or chpt. 13 these can be included in your bankruptcy and if they were they are in violation. You need to report this to your attorney ASAP, when I had filed a chpt. 13 I had a company try this with me and my attorney filed contempt charges against them, the judge reprimanded them and the calls stopped, they were told they would get a fine if any further contact was made to me.

After I filed for bankruptcy, several years later, one of the loans I put on bankruptcy wanted to offer me some money.

When I got there and filled out my application (I knew that I wouldn't get approved for it), they just "happened" to look on the computer and said I owed them $230 and they wanted to collect. I said that they were on my bankruptcy and they contend that they were not. I actually got into an argument with the lady before I left.

I went to look at my bankruptcy discharge papers. And what do you know: they were on there. I decided to send a nice letter to them and added my bankruptcy information so that they could update their "computers". I have not heard anything from them since.

Once the bankruptcy has been discharged, you don't have to pay the debt.
