one down - with a refund (!) - 3 to go!

As some of you may know I have four internet PDLs - DMS Marketing/XpressCash, CashNetUSA, National Opportunities and Interim Cash. I sent a template letter for PDLs one to two weeks ago. I received an e-mail today. Tbey have marked my account paid in full and said if I sign this form and fax it back, they will refund me $150. YAAAAYYY!!

Oops, I was so excited, I forgot to sign in. Anyway, the release states they will refund the $150 into my account by tomorrow if I fax the release form to them before 5 p.m. today. Since the account they have access to is closed, should I insist they send a money order or do you think it would be okay to have them send it to my new account?

Okay, I signed and faxed the release form to DMS Marketing/LTS Management Services, as they requested. John Kimball sent me an e-mail stating he received it and then copied me on a fax he sent to their finance department, telling them to issue me a refund. I'll let you know when I get it. Thanks again, you guys, for all your help.

As I posted earlier, I just settled with LTS Management Services/DMS Marketing with them marking my account paid in full AND receiving a $150 refund, which they said they'll be sending out in the next 24-48 hours.

About 20 minutes ago, I got a phone call from National Opportunities/itsmypayday. They won't give a refund, but they did say they marked my account paid in full and would send me a copy.

Two down, two to go!

I am DEFINITELY celebrating this weekend!

Thanks, Sam62. Congratulations to you, too! I just cringe to think of what those places would have done to us if we didn't find this site. Isn't it amazing? Once they find out that you know the laws, they're so willing to settle the account. I couldn't believe how willing to accommodate that this guy was! Again, congratulations!

OK, I had another setback today - but this time I'm ready for it because I know eventually it'll all work out. Interim Cash Ltd. sent me another notice, after I had sent them a template letter, stating that I had not gotten in touch with them regarding the default in my loan. I attached a reply to the e-mail they had sent me and copied the template letter there. I will be waiting to see if they respond. Will keep you posted.

How do you get away from these people, I have loans that they have been over paid and they continue to take money out of my account. HELP!

sfj76, first you need revoke your authorization allowing them to debit your account, then either block them from your account or just open up a new one. (Don't listen to their threats that they are going to charge you with fraud or have you arrested, that is just a flat out lie to scare you) If these are internet pdls then use the settlement letters on polly's blog, insert your state's pdl laws and let them know you filed a complaint with the AG's office (because that's something else you need to do because if it's an internet pdl, then they are more than likely unlicensed to lend in your state) Then fax, e-mail, send out these letters until they mark you paid in full, or settle with you for what you legally owe within your state.

Yes guest, normally the first thing we tell people when they come here with pdl issues is to close their bank account immediately and open another one and not to give the information to anyone. These places are famous for taking money even when they are already paid off or have been asked not to do ach debits anymore.
