My Call to the California FTB

Ok, I had to share this one. I called the California Franchise Tax Board today (our state tax board) re my husband's pension. I got the rep from Hell, who was having a bad day, who accused me of not reading the instructions on their site (not true) and then said that my husband was subject to a 10 percent penalty on early withdrawal of his pension, since he's not 59 and a half!! Huh????? He was never, ever told that when he walked out the gate to his job 5 years ago, after working for 30 years. I asked for a manager, and this witch dumped me right back into the queue, which I busted her for. Then I got a nice rep, who told me that SHE had the same experience with her husband's pension on efile and it's a glitch in the system!
