16 year old debt
I went to UC Santa Barbara in '92-' 93 and got financial aid and student loans. I paid the student loan off. It's now 2009 and I have a CA calling me for $1500 tuition.This is the 1st I heard of this debt and I think it could be a scam.Can they do this to me?If I really do owe this debt who can I talk to to find out if it's real, the college? I thought there's a time limit on collecting old debts

UC Santa Barbara is a public school, thus public debt which equals NO SOL. That includes tuition accounts. You probably want to call the school and they will direct you to the CA.
