Can a collection agency garnish wages after buying a sallie mae student loan after the loan was in default?
Collection agencies do not buy sallie mae loans...federal loans
Collection agencies do not buy sallie mae loans...federal loans are defaulted back to their guarantors...the guarantors place with collection agencies. They can and will garnish wages and they can do so without a court order.
