No. They will not come after the cosignor during the bankruptcy
No. They will not come after the cosignor during the bankruptcy stay. However, with some private loans filing BK causes them to default. Once the BK is discharged, the interest is updated and if it defaults, collection activity will begin. If it doesnt default, payments will resume.

Bankruptcy is grounds for default for student loans...they are under different rules. Recently I have heard of more loans being transferred into default once the bankruptcy is discharged.
