I recently had a bank levy pull out $2000 of student loan money I had just recieved. I have the paper work to file an exemption but I cant get a clear answer if student loan money is in fact exempt. If anyone can help me out Id apprieciate it

Typically only Social Security benefits are exempt from levies and even then you have to file the letter to invoke exemption.

I would say call the department of education or the student loan

I would say call the department of education or the student loan ombudsman.
