Trouble consolidating sallie mae

My husband has been trying to consolidate his Sallie Mae loans since AUGUST! we are using Direct Loan & had 2 different loan companies we wanted them to consolidate, one was ACS, the other is Sallie Mae...Well the ACS loans were great & consolidated within 2 weeks...here we are almost Novemeber & Sallie Mae claims they never recieved any requests for the proper info from Direct Loans, when Direct Loans has now sent 2 requests! Also about a month ago a "customer service" rep & i use that term VERY loosely told us they had recieved the request & sent back the proper info....& as of today they have NO record of ever recieving a request?!?!?! What in the sam h3LL is going on here? please help...we have no idea what steps to take here & these people are SO not helpful!

Anyone? Any suggestions or ideas why Sallie Mae may be giving us the run around, also to add on to this they have told us on another occasion that they HAD recieved the info & mailed the Lender Verification Certificate & the pay off amount back, when direct loan told us they hadnt recieved anything is when we called sallie mae back & then got the story about never recieving any requests from direct loan, so it was 2 completely different stories

Yeah something is totally fishy with Sallie Mae and ACS and neither of them knows what is going on with my loans. In my case 2 parties are collecting almost the same amount and when I asked Sallie Mae they gave me the run around when I asked particulars such as date of disbursement, guarantor, etc. so I can match up which loan goes with who, SM hangs up on me! HA!
