Financial aid question
I'm taking classes online at a college. Got financial aid and everything. Well yesterday I got an email from my financial aid advisor telling me that they screwed up and put me in the system as a commuter and not an online student. Because of that my aid should have been lower.
I can understand that I should have not been awarded so much because of my status. But now because of THEIR mistake, I end up owing money which I don't have and will now have to come up with $1000 or I won't be able to register for next year.
Is this something they can do because of THEIR mistake? I can totally understand if it was my mistake or if I lied on my application but I didn't do either.
