Private Loan Medical Discharge?

Are private loans eligible for medical discharge? I have the forms for the Federal loans, but they do not specifically mention private loans on the forms. Are there different forms for private loans or are they not eligible for medical discharge?

FYI...it is very difficult to qualify for a federal loan medical discharge. The requirements exceed SSDI requirements.

Thank you for the information. I know that the qualifications are quite difficult and not like SSDI. My doctor is the one who suggested that I try for this. She said she's only offered this to one other patient so she must think I have a good chance. She told me to try to find information out the private loans because she hadn't dealt with them before and I could not find anything pertaining to their discharge. That is how I ended up here.
