Default student loan
when i went to college (devry) my mom made me cosign a loan with her and they sent me a check but i never used the money. it was a subsidized loan. not to long after i was literally forced to drop out by my mom and the check went missing but as far as i know it never got used. Now im receiving statements saying that i owe back the money i never used but my mom hasnt gotten anything so what should i do? I never used the money and i have no job and cant go to school. Any suggestions

Something is not right. Subsidized loans do not require a cosigor.
You would only have received a check for an overpayment and knowing the tuition of devry, you probably did not have a refund from a sub loan. Private loan maybe....they require a cosignor.

When did you attend?
How long were you in school? Dates? Program?
Did you withdraw officially?? Talk to your financial officer to understand the costs and implications of withdrawal??
