Rehabbed Student Loans
I recently have rehabbed both of my student loans from two different companies. Both loans have been bought by different companies and that was in July. How long will it take to update and say that my loans are current? They all say now that they are 180 days late and have been turn over to the goverment.

If you are referring to the original creditor like Sallie Mae or Citibank, the answer is never. The original creditor is not obligated legally to change any information....only the guarantey agency is required by law to reflect as current. The OC will drop off at 7 years from the date of default.
