just want to finish making payments now!
I filed Bankruptcy and this debt was part of it. I needed a car so the dealer said I had to discharge the Bankruptcy in order to buy the vehicle so I did and a few yrs later AFFEEs found out and garnished my check. Ive paid over half of the 10.000 that I owe, I called and told them that I wanted to call it a wash and stop taking payments so they told me to write a letter with reasons why etc, I need to know what kind of attack do you recommend?

Wow, terrible advise from the dealer. Can you generate funds to negotiate a settlement? If so, go that route.
However, do you have any other delinquent debts? If so...

How much do they total?
When was the last time you made a payment to them?
What state do you live in?
