My husband has been reciving bills from TRS and they are wanting over $1,000 in bills. They are saying that he has wrote bad checks in a town that we have never heard of or been to for that matter. The biggest thing is, we dont have a checking account anywhere. We filed a complant with the police ( not much help there). We also sent TRS an Identiy theft affidavit. They are saying that they are going to cancel the affidavit that we sent them and that we are still responsiable for the money. What should we do?

ignore the SOB

it is a scam as they can't cancel an ID THEFT affidavit.ignore future calls.if a number looks unfamiliar,or spoofed let it go to vmail.then delete the message.a total scuzzbucket this place is.

TRS Recovery is a bunch of pieces of garbage. Amazon uses them for bad checking accounts... I paid with my checking account for an instant video on amazon (which was debited from my account) and TRS started calling my cell telling me the same crap we hear payday lenders telling people ("bad check"/you're going to a cell crap) - I called amazon and amazon unsicked TRS and issued me a 35 dollar promotional credit... they are pieces of garbage. If they keep going after you send them a DV letter (in my sig by soaplady)
