I had been paying Arrow for the past six months. I called regarding some automatic payments that were taken out prematurely. The "gentleman", Lee, said there have not been any payments on the accounts. I corrected him firmly. He then agreed and said my accounts were recalled back to Sallie Mae. I asked him "What does that mean?" He simply repeated himself. He then said the accounts were closed. What is going on? I called Sallie Mae and they don't know why Lee said the accounts have been recalled. What should I do? I've tried to contact Sallie Mae's consumer advocate but, in dealing with any bureacracy, I am unable to talk to a human being. Help!

Start off again by talking to Arrow...ask for a "qualified manager". Take names. If no results, call Sallie Mae back. If a federal loan, you should be talking to your guarantor, not Sallie Mae.
