Horrible rude and indignant reps
Hello,
I am in the process of consolidating my loans and am being harrassed by CG Services. They have not contacted me with any information regarding a garnishment although are harrassing me and now called my employer regarding garnishing my wages. I was told by the consolidation company that if garnishment is done that I cannot pay the loan through consolidation. Why would this company do this? It seems inhumane that people could be this rude and just plain out of sync with humanity. I understand that I created my loans, although I do not control that I have not been afforded the opportunity to obtain a job which allows the payback of the student debt I incurred. What options are available to me? Where do I go from here? do I quit my job? Do I go on wellfare? where does a person go to get help if they are trying to rectify a situation and are being met with difficulties or plain rude and unneccessary behavior and efforts to thwart their efforts? Where is the law in this matter? What are the rules?

Ok...you are not being harrassed...GC services is going their jo
Ok...you are not being harrassed...GC services is going their job which is to get you to pay. Technically you are required to be in repayment to consolidate which obviously you are not since they are going thru the garnishment steps. Read your paperwork...you are in default and you need to start understanding YOUR responsiblities before you start blaming others.
Quit work to avoid a 15% garnishment? You really think welfare pays that well? Or that you would even qualify having quit a job?
