I was paying on my capitol one, my cards got stolen so I reported it the captiol told me to wait to see if there was any charges I did but yet still made a mim. payment . when we got the bill they raise the mim I thought maybe they use the card. I wanted the acct closed. next month the mim payment was 900.00 which was always 70 dollars before, because myself only charged 1,700 all together. then i had got the card back from the person that took it, he made no charges on it, but found out that Capitol one fees were so high that I could not make payments anymore. they robbed me more than the guy that took my credit card..I closed the acct so I thought, but only to find out capitol sent it to law office. they called threating to put lien on my mothers house which my name is not on, I lived in another state and they told me I didnt live there. Then for a year didnt here from them now they want to send me to court in Okla. I have no money no job all I have is food stamps . that Dhs gave me, they took my 1,700.00 charges now with there fees is now over 7,000 dollars.have to go to court next month where do i go when I have no money to pay, I dont even have gas money to get to the court house.which 25 miles away. Then is an unsured credit card!what can I do?

Were there any unauthorized charges on your card

So there were no unauthorized charges?? I dont understand why you are even bringing the theft up because it did not affect your balance. Obviously you were behind in payments which caused them accelerate your payments.

Huh?? If you were sent to any attorneys office, Capitol One already closed your account.

If you dont pay it they are going to get a judgment against you.
Get a job and pay it? File bankruptcy? Go back to school and get your GED?
I believe bankruptcy is the best solution to get out from under
I believe bankruptcy is the best solution to get out from under the mountain of debt. Although, since you are unemployed, they cant garnish your wages and at the most put a lien on your assets.
