payday loan defaulted

so today the collection agency called me and said my loan went from 315.00 to 1500.00 and if i didnt pay by 1pm this was going on my license record and a felony.. i tried to work out a pymt plan and he refused is this possible

Check with the state department of finance and see if the lender
Check with the state department of finance and see if the lender is licensed to operate in your state. If they are not, you pay nothing more than the principal amount that you had borrowed. You cannot be arrested for failing to repay a debt. File a complaint with the FTC and the AG against the lender.
