Harassment of the Elderly

THERE IS NO PROOF THAT SHE OWES THE MONEY!
I believe the person responsible may be my nephew, so they should go after him and his parents for any money they maybe due.
Isn't there a federal law against the harassment of the elderly? I plan to file suit against Central Credit Services and Keith Brong, if he does not stop calling and harassing my mother.
What does the Federal Law say about harassment of the Elderly.

Until the proper steps are taken, filing suit will be a waste of time because IF they have a legitimate debt, you havent followed the proper steps. It really doesnt matter that she is elderly....a debt is a debt and there are steps to be taking.
What is the CA collecting on??
Send a DV disputing the validity of the debt. Demand a copy of the signed card holder agreemnt/prom note.
Pull her credit report.
If this is in fact identity theft, a police report will need to be filed. Point the finger if you have to. ID theft is a CRIME.
You will then have to submit a copy to the CA and creditor.

has your mom received a collection letter from this person?if not then three things.
1)have her demand something in writing.
2)tell this man that she will not speak to him again until she does get something in writing.
3)have her stop talking to him.
she should also follow soaplady's advice as well.if she did get a letter she should send a DV letter.however i'm guessing she didn't so she must exercise her rights per the FDCPA.
