Judgment

If I have a judgment lien against my property ,can somebody force me to sell and pay the judgment or they should wait until I sell voluntarly?

There are a lot of factors at play here. Such situations are dictated by state laws. Homestead exemption is what you need to look into. For example, in Illinois, if your home's equity is less than the homestead exemption ($15,000 for single and $30,000 for married couples jointly holding the property), the property cannot be forcibly sold.

Moreover, if your property has a mortgage on it, then it would be pretty hard to force a sale unless of course it is your mortgage company that has the judgment against you.
