Paying off an EPP in Indiana, then taking out another loan

My situation is that today after work, I'll be paying off my last installment of my payday loan using an EPP. I asked the company on the phone (check into cash) if I could take out another loan after I pay it off, they said I have to wait 8 days, well having car issues and work, I can't make it another week with little to no money. So, what I'm wondering is if I went to a different payday loan lender today after paying off my EPP, will they let me take out a small loan or will I have to wait 8 days at another place too? Thanks.
