I believe this debt may be from a payday loan from 2005 which I owed a remaining balance of a little over 100 dollars. I tried to pay after some hardships. The company told me they sent it to collections. Upon notifing the collection company they are telling me I owe close to 800.00 dollars. I do know this amount is not right at all. It doesn't even fall in the guidlines for a payday loan. Needless to say I contacted the original company and they said I HAD to pay the collection company. As of today I see they are trying to serve me papers. Is there anything I can do about this?
