How do you know offer is real
Hi I am new here and am glad this forum exists. Thanks.
I got an offer from chase (after second attempt) and at about 60 days of a settlement of 42%. They had me go through the confirmation process on the phone and sent out an "education letter" said that an official letter explaining the settlement agreement is on the way. Settled 5000 for 2200. It seemed too easy. Has anyone else had tho luck?

Did you get it in writing yet?
Did you get it in writing yet? It sounds like you have already setup a check by phone. Have you? If so, when is it dated for?
You never want to enter into a settlement agreement without having the letter first. Chase will fax it to you upon your request, so if you don't have it yet give them a call and request it.
It's crucial to protect yourself in these situations.
Usually they will send it via snail mail as well... look out for
