Kingston Financial - What are the common complaints against them?

I just received an e-mail from kingston financial payday loans company saying they would renew my loan and withdraw only the finance fee on Friday, 2/27. I had received an email last night from them saying to disregard that email if they had already processed my application.

The problem is: I have never received a loan from them! I am terrified that they are going to draw money out of my account on Friday and every payday after. I sent them 2 threatening emails, and called but they were closed. I will call again in the morning. What can I do to make them prove they did not deposit money in my account?

We wouldn't have any idea because we are a public forum who offers advice to help people get out of debt. You'll need to contact this company directly as we are not affiliated with them. If I were you I would cancel that contract asap, Kingston payday loans are nothing more than criminals and my best guess is they aren't even licensed to lend in your state.

I googled payday loans and it directed me to fill out an application. i filled out the app and someone from kingston financial called me and said i was approved and that money would be available within a hour. Well an hour has passed and there is no money available now they have my bank info. is this place legit or what.

I see there are alot of doubts about this company and I wish I would have known sooner but I have a loan with them and so far they have did everything they said they do. Although I did fall short on one payday they kept debiting my account since I never called them. But I finally paid them off the money and today found myself having to go right back to them and they gladly took me back! The number I have for this company is 18006208790. I hope this helps someone!

I just got a loan with them too. Wish I had visited here first. I can't reach them by phone or email. The web site said it was secure, so I went ahead and got a loan for $200. today. I called them and emailed them to cancel the loan. Does anyone know if this is enough to stop the loan.

Does anyone have any information on wachovia bank and what are tx laws regarding pdl. well wachovia has been helpful i have a stopwatch on my ACE loan. they tried to withdraw but i had NSF. wachovia now has a company id and if they use that id to enter my acct again that withdrawal will not be honored. now if they enter using a different id number then they may be able to withdraw. they told me stopwatch is not guaranteed.

I rec'd a payday loan from this company with no problems and they were very thorough. I did a 3-way call between me and my bank and they asked all the right questions. I have gotten my loan and repaid in full. Close to the time when the loan was due, I received an e-mail reminder as well as an opportunity to call if needed. They can be reached via email at info@kingstonfinancialonline.com. No active website that I know of but the e-mail works.

go to your bank and see the manager.tell them that you did not authorize the debit.have them set up a new account that isn't linked to the old one.sorry to say,but your account will never be safe again.best to close that one and open a new one.

I too got a call saying I was approved for a loan and the agent took all my info. When I called the number he gave me to call if any questions they did not have a record of me being approved for a loan. I advised them that I was told that I was approved they wanted to call my bank to get info which I had done with the previous rep before being approved. I call them back and informed them that I was told I was approved and refused to do a two way call with my bank again. Not sure they are legit.

Well, you can read about them at the BBB site, link below:
http://www.bbb.org/utah/business-reviews/payday-loan-companies/kingston-financial-in-salt-lake-city-ut-22241651
If I were you, I would close your account asap and obtain a new account at a totally different bank, read some of the previous posts in this thread and make your own decision on what to do. They have a F rating with the BBB, that's not a good sign.

I have borrowed a $200 payday loan from Kingston Financial around summer of 2009 and, like some of you, I have paid them the $89 processing fee bi-weekly every month until February of this year (2010). I know with all of the $89 processing fees that they have debited from my checking account, that I have paid them off, plus more. I finally said "Enough is enough", and I requested that my bank put a stop on the bi-weekly payments for as long as possible because I am planning to pay them off myself. My question is, with all of the bi-weekly payments they've debited from my account, does that not mean that I "technically" paid them off? Or should I just send in that $289 payment and get them out of my hair?

being as they are illegal.you have overpaid this loan.instead of a stop payment which won't work see the bank manager, and close that account and open a new one not linked to the old account.you owe this place nothing, but they will keep debiting.they will change amounts,co name,or put through a paper check.go to the sticky at the top of this forum titled DEALING WITH ILLEGAL LENDERS,that will give you all the info you need to get this place out of your hair.

:confused:This lendor only has the two options, pay the rollover fee or pay in full. I was offered a payment pay off of $200 if i paid a week prior to my next pay date. If it was that easy why couldn't i do this on my next pay date?

Do you mean to say they are depositing money in your account without your approval and is then debiting your account to collect various fees and charges? Well, this is exactly most of the payday loan companies do to rip you off. If they credit your account again, contact your bank and have the money sent back to the payday loan company. Talk to your bank manager and tell him that you do not authorize any withdrawal from your bank account by this loan company. Ask him to block any further withdrawal attempt by Kingston Financial. If possible, close the bank account and open a new one.

Hi Tracy,
Have you already taken the loan? Or is it that they've deposited the loan amount into your account without any approval from you. In case they've deposited the money and you do not want it, contact your bank and have the money sent back to the payday loan company.

It's indeed a wise decision to avoid using payday loans as they can rip you off your money. You should rather try and get some assistance from your relatives or friends. You can also ask your employer for an advance against your next paycheck. You may approach a credit union or a small lender for the loan. You may also consider using your credit card to get a cash advance as it'd be better than getting a payday loan.

@ Unregistered, #67:
Somehow i get the feeling this individual is a representative of this company. I sent an email to the one in the post and NO ONE replied. Their phone NUMBERS get you through to NO ONE. This company is total BS. I have a friend with the Minnesota division of the FBI. I've, thus far, filed my own complaints against them, mailed and emailed them letters of revocation (I have an individual's signature from signing for the delivery) and closed my checking account. They have attempted to debit this account, but it is being rejected. My next step is to contact my friend and go on a seek and destroy mission. This company (and all like them) need to be leveled to the ground and its heads thrown in prison. I will not let this go without a fight. it simply just isn't enough to get them out of my own hair; I want them out of EVERYONE'S hair.

I am really scared because I can related with the people who recently appiled with this company and the number s don't work and the emails don't work from all the information that has been provided on this site I have email :: info@kingstonfinancialonline.com and admin@brightonfnl.com called the 1-800-738-0995
800-620-8790 and even from my bank I asked them to a reverse search on thier bank that actaul provides the loan their bank number that I received from mine was 303-637-7022 and then they provided me with the company's number in Utah 801-263-7080 which leads you into a voicemail where leave a message I don't know if anyone has done this yet but I am trying

Based on some of the other posts at this forum, others haven't been able to contact them either, if I were you, I would close that account and open a new one at a different bank because now that they have your account number it will never be safe again. Close the account before they deposit the money, and never get a loan on the Internet again, it's much too risky and will surely compromise your personal information.

made a loan through Kingston financial. I made an agreement to pay $189 twice and my account will be settled. Up to know they have withdrawn $467.00 and believe i still woe them. The last time I spoke with one of their collection agent 4/12/10 he could not exactly tell me how much i had to pay to settle my account. then he stated that I had to pay another $100.00 totaling $567.00 I put a hold on their debit because i believe they are over charging me.

I requested a loan from Kingston financial 2 days ago the guy who calked was already unfriendly while verifying my information cause he acted like I was practically stealing the money from them and they hadn't even process the loan. The beginning of the call he kept saying I'd get the money next day well I have yet to receive the funds and it's almost near the end of the cancelation period, the man didn't mention to the very end of the call that it could take up to 3-5 days I needed the money yesterday what's the point of getting a loan when by the time it gets here it will be my payday again and they are just gonna take the full thing out of my accept and my bills didn't get paid. Also the finance charges are already ridiculous $89 for a $200 loan other companies charge $89 on $400 loans so it's really about $20 - $22 at a regular service per every hundred in interest. I have even been approved for more at a company called check n go I should have gone there first cause Kingston financial is a scam.
