Good thing I was the one that answered the call, otherwise, it would've been an epic embarrassment! Now, I'm paranoid and afraid. How can I make sure they don't call my employer?

Is this for an illegal PDL?

Calling a debtor at work is not illegal. Disclosing a debt to employer or third part is a violation of the FDCPA.
