i just read that capital one has a judgement against them for $12 mill. that they fraudulently forclosed on military personel. but not just military, apparently they are also guilty of misleading consumers about upselling their protection plans and credit monitoring. i am one of these people that got suckered into their stupid credit monitoring. but i don't want monetary compensation. instead i want them to remove my negative marks with them from my credit report. is this possible? is there a way i can get them to remove their negative marks and in return i wont join a class action law suit against them?

you're probably right. so should i still join this class action lawsuit that this law firm keeps calling me about. they are based in santa monica, and i'm out here in so. Cal. i remember a few times where those monthly fees for the credit monitoring would be tacked on then that would cause me to be over my limit. somehow they still let the charges go through and then charge me an over the limit fee. i tried to complain but it was useless. i guess it was my fault also for using my card so close to my limit. its just annoying because aren't they supposed to decline charges if that particular charge puts you over the limit? i mean i remember one time they declined me when i didn't have enough to pay for a tv. i think i was like $40 over the limit?
