Spot Loan cease and assist

About a week ago I contacted spotloan and told them I would not be making payments to them anymore due to the fact that they were illegal. I never heard back from them so I called and was informed that their legal department was handling my account. This morning I received an e mail from their ceaseand desist department. It said
" This is an e mail confirmation that you made a payment of $140.54 on 9/4/12 with funds transferred from your bank account. Thank you."
" I sincerely appriciate having you as a customer."

Relationshiop Manager.
I have not made a payment to them so I am really totally confused by this e mail.
What should I do next?
