I have recently been denied on a renters application due to bad credit. I obtained a copy of my credit report and see that FIA CSNA is showing up from 2006 on my report with a past due amount. What can I or shluld I do to reslove this problem?

That's Bank of America. You just need to wait another year or so for it to fall off; seven and a half years and it will just go off the account.

Just curious - does it say closed by granter, or has it been reporting past due since 06? Do you know what it is? If you don't have any clue what the debt is you can dispute it w/ the bureaus.
