I have a Capital One card in collections with a company called Nelson, Watson and they want me to pay $48 per week as it is in pre litigation status. I cannot afford this, what can I do? My husband has one with Citi and its in the same status and they want $119 per month, we can't afford that either. But we don't want to get sued. Any advise is appreciated!

Negotiate down or be sued... it's pretty much your only solution. Ask them if 30 dollars a week is acceptable, and see if 75 a month is acceptable for your husband's. Capital One and Citi are both aggressive and will sue you no matter how small the debt. If you don't want to get on a payment plan, then they will get a wage garnishment or levy your bank accounts. If I were you, I'd work it out with them and try to negotiate lower payments.
