I had the account charged off and then it went back to citibank-- they refuse to settle for less than 50% and now interest is being charged again as it is back the bank...i am very frustrated, it's about 10 months past last payment..
What are my next steps? I can't afford more than 25%, and I've begged them..

Mike - I responded to you with some questions on a different thread you started. This thread has more detail and answered some of my questions on the other thread.

What is the balance of the account?

Citi currently targets 45 to 50% as the floor on settlements. There are instances Where you can get lower, but documenting hardships may be required.

Can you budget a settlement for 50% of the balance paid in installments of say 3 to 6 months?

There is also the chance you will get a more flexible deal worked out with whoever the account is placed with next (by flexible I am not necessarily talking about % of savings - but more flexible and longer payment terms).
