Dealing with a charged-off account of my late husband
My husband worked for the US army. He died during a feud in Pleasant Hill. I had contacted the credit card company after the demise of my late husband. They told me that the debt would be taken care of. However, I found that they have charged off the account recently. The account is still there on my credit report. What should I do now?

was this a joint account,or were you just an authorized user?if the latter then first dispute the debt on your CR then send a letter to the CC stating that you are not liable for this and have disputed the entry.if the former then it can stay on your CR for 7.5 yrs from the date of first delinquency.please answer that question as it can help us help you.
