I successfully rehabilitated my student loan and will be making payments to the lender that bought my loan this Friday. When will the default on my student loan be off my credit score? Does it take a few months. Who takes the default off my report, the new lender or Iowa Student Loans who sent it to collections?
I have also managed to pay off most of my 4 payday loans by working my buns off working overtime, and sticking to a very strict budget. I'll done with those bad boys by the end of the month.
My credit score is 540, lousy... I know I am a long, long way from getting it better. I have 2 charge offs that are about 3 years old. Should I try to pay these off? Will that help? Would a credit counseling place help me with that?
Also.......... I would like to move out of my ex-boyfriends home. I am living there and paying half of everything only because he can't afford the mortgage without me. I want my own apartment/house to rent. I can afford it now that I will be free from all debt but my student loan. Does anyone know of any apartment management company in Minneapolis/St Paul MN that will rent to a lousy-credit, but doing better woman? I have a good rental history.

That is really great you were able to do that. I know you have to feel relieved, especially after completing the student loan rehabiltation. Your credit score should start going up. I'm from OH so I don't know about any apartments in your area.
