Sonic Payday

I have been fighting with my HR dept in reference to Sonic Payday they are loan sharks!!!!they sent my company a Voluntary Wage Assignment which I revoked back on July, and Sonic Payday continued calling my job and now my wages are being garnished. I spoke to HR and explained to her that this was not a court order and was not legal and she still did not care, I told her I had revoked the wage assignmet and she told me that how can I revoke it after I received the funds that the only way I could have revoked it was if I did not receive the money and that I was responsible to pay them back. Now I am short $250 on my paycheck till I pay the balance of $687. Does anyone have any advice for me? I live in FLorida
Thanks

That is aweful!!! I can't believe your HR person did that. Do you still have a copy of your wage assignment revokation? If so, I think I might take it to my HR supervisor if you feel that it won't have a negative impact on your job. It sounds like what she did was definitely against the law. I would be good and mad!! In fact, I'm good and mad for you. There has to be something that you can do!

kate, your payroll person is an idiot! First of all, you revoked any wage assignment with them. Please still have a copy and throw it in her face. Second, wage assignments are voluntary by your employer. She does NOT have to abide by it. But apparently she's a witch. Third, did you explain to her that this "company" that she is GIVING MONEY TO is an illegal overseas company that the government is after? Hello! I would be sure to mention that.

I believe that kate's hr person is an attorney. Isn't that nice. I have been talking to her about this. Her HR person is in the hospital having gallbladder surgery. Doesn't that figure. I can't believe they have done this to her. They ended up taking almost $400.00 of her check today.

I do believe this is not right. I do understand that wage assignments are voluntary. That the employer can abide by it if they choose to do so. However, if she showed them her revoke letter, why would they still honor the wage assignment? Is there anyone higher up that she can go to regarding this? I'm being serious here. This girl is losing money to an illegal overseas company. This is uncalled for. She should get her money back. I'm steaming over this one.
