Loan to Pay payday loans

Seeking for an unsecured loan to pay online payday loans. Can someone advice, please? Thanks.

First of all think about getting more debt to pay off debt. It is a vicious cycle. Keep in mind you should also check to see if your payday loans are license in your state. Which state are you in? Most of the time they are not. And because they aren't licensed, they aren't allowed to give loans. If you've paid them well over the principal, you might be entitled to get some of it back, or at least get them to mark it paid in full. If not, then you do have to pay them back, at least the principal. Rules vary by state, and someone here can tell you more once you let us know what state you are in.

If you decide you really do need a loan, go to prosper.com. I don't have the link but search and you'll find a thread (or more) about them. I've got one, it is legit, and it is about helping people in need. You can even join a group which can get you better rates and their are groups against payday loans, they'll be glad to help

Sheila - welcome to the site!

In addition to the advice given above, please consider giving us the following information:

-name of each lender
-whether they are internet or storefront loans
-how much you borrowed (principal only, no fees)
-how much you have paid on each one
-what state you are located in (very important)

With that information, we can tell you, based on the laws of your state regarding payday loans, whether you actually have already overpaid on these loans and should start asking for your loan to be marked paid in full, or if you should ask for a payment arrangement to get them paid off.

Many of the internet lenders (but not all) are grossly overcharging consumers in interest charges and some perform rollovers or renewals against state law.

Hi there Sheila! I agree with Poko. I do not recommend getting a loan to pay off payday loans but if you really want to, check out prosper! However, if you give us the information that poko and suebee asked for, we may be able to help you with these loans without getting yourself into more debt!!! You have come to the right place for help!!

sheila, some members use langehorne and some members use T&C. However, as stated in above posts, we may be able to help you & you can do it on your own. If you could post your state, which pdl's your dealing with and the amount borrowed and the amount paid back so far, we can go from there. We're here to help you, if you like! :D

When I first got on here I was a complete mess, I didn't think I could do it on my own and I was looking for a consolidation company. Everyone I talked to though said they couldn't help me because they didn't work with PDLs, and I couldn't find one that could. But there is Langhorne and T&C I guess, so if you don't think you can do it alone than check with them.

But if you want to do it on your own you can and we can help you. Like Suebee said, list the amounts and names of the pdls you have currently and someone on here will tell you how they've dealt with them. Then you work on sending them letters, closing your bank account or at least putting a hold on withdrawls and opening a new account. From there they won't take any more of your money and you can concentrate on the things you need, like food, and worry about paying them off later (that is if you still owe them anything).

It is tough but you have a support group here. Getting into more debt will only complicate things because then you'll have to worry about paying them back. Monday I'll have to call Prosper and tell them they'll be receiving a late payment as they can't take money out of my closed account. Hopefully that will go okay.

When I first caome here, I heard about T and C and I thought that I just didn't have it in me to fight these payday loans so I was going to pay someone to take care of them for me. I spent a week or so on here talking to different people and reading posts and I found out that this was a fight that I could take on myself and I did. I don't see anything wrong with using the consolidation companies but if you choose not to, we are all here to help.

Poko, good luck with prosper on Monday. I am sure it will be fine, they just want their money!
