United Cash Loans and Oneclickcash refused to speak with me
Well, since I've heard back from neither OneClickCash or United Cash loans, I decided to give them a call to make sure they were receiving my e-mails.
The CS reps at both "companies" informed me that they could not speak to me as the accounts have been forwarded to the "compliance department".
I guess I'm in for it now huh?
You will just get e-mails from that dept. It's no big deal. And
You will just get e-mails from that dept. It's no big deal. And yes they can talk to you. but now they know you are informed and they can't scare you into paying them. I worked out a deal with that so called department. Just keep e-mailing them until you get an e-mail from the compliance department.

Puddle, if you don't mind me asking what kind of deal did you work out with them? I have already overpaid both these guys by significant amounts. I just want them to mark my account as paid in full.
Also, did you communicate with them strictly by e-mail?
I e-mailed the revocation of debits, etc. to both of these companies twice already. I hope they comply.

I swear, I'm not trying to scare you! I just want you to be aware of their tactics. Do NOT be surprised by them. If you get any response, or you get nervous about them, or have any questions regarding them, come to the forum FIRST and post. Then respond to them. That's what I do. I have a tendency to FREAK OUT, so I come here - post for advice - get it - then I respond to MTE. Just some words of wisdom!!!! It's a lot easier to deal with these morons when you know you're support group is standing behind you! :D
Thanks cannr-you guys have been great. I'm just like you-I to
Thanks cannr-you guys have been great.
I'm just like you-I totally freak out. I hope this nightmare is behind me soon (and you too).
What do you think their next communication will be? A "settlement offer"? :P
jenn
Actually, my firm belief is begin turned over to collections (or whatever they call it) for an extremely high amount of money. They tried to "settle" with me for hundreds over what I legally owed. I said no way (with the support of this forum!). I have 3 pdl's with them. And I said no way to all of their "offers", which were illegal and ridiculous. So....now I'm expecting to have some ya-hoo collections person try to contact me. An illegal collections agency, mind you! :!:
Unreal. How do these people get away with this? It's basically
Unreal. How do these people get away with this? It's basically extortion, loansharking!
That's why I am so glad people are wising up (including me) and reporting these a**es!
MTE
I can't say it enough, jenn. Some of the pdl's aren't too tough to deal with, but others are CRAZY! They just keep coming at you with illegal tactics - when the whole damn thing was illegal to begin with! And, you (and everyone else!) know my feelings regarding MTE - Satan.

Jenn, the only things I ever got from the compliance dept was emails. They never bothered with calling me at all. That made it a little easier to deal with them.

Thanks Sassy, that's a relief. for some reason, on the phone, I get choked up! Even though I know they are in the wrong.

Good point! I love this place!
Now, we shall see how truly unethical they are...I revoked their rights to debit my account, etc., but still have my account open (I couldn't close it because my direct deposit is due to go in tonight, and it was too late for me to change it). So, how much do you want to bet that they will debit it anyway? Oh well, I guess that will be more evidence against them.

I figured that....and I plan on closing my account on Monday to avoid any future problems. But I was too late this time.. :(
Do you think they ever honor the revocation? Has it ever happened to anyone on here?

Morningstar, how did you know they were trying to debit your account if it was closed? Just curious, I am about to encounter the same thing! :)

Jenn,
I still did owe them. I made only a couple of roll over payments before my checking account was closed. But then I subtracted them and also subtracted ALL of the NSF fees from my bank for when they tried to debit my checking account. So without looking at my papers I paid them like 75-100 dollars. But I paid them by a visa gift card. I wasn't going to pay what money gram wanted. And I wasn't gonna give them my debit card number either. So I put just enough on the gift card to pay them. So they couldn't get a dime more. They did want me to pay more than what they settled for but I got mean and then they settled. But it wasn't with oneclickcash. I believe it was with pinion. The person I delt with was pretty ok. No really nasty e-mails. Plus I told them I couldn't pay them for 3 weeks. They agreed to that, but they did tell me that if they didn't get paid that day then the settlement was void and I would owe them $580. So just sit tight and wait for the e-mail. They never called me.
jenn
jenn, I kept getting emails about "your payment". That's how I knew they were still attempting to debit. Some would come saying "Oops. You missed your payment." Or something retarded like that. Others would come and say "You're payment has been processed." Only to be followed with one that said "You're payment was rejected." It's actually kind of funny. I guess it's all computer generated. They'll say they got payment, then they'll say the didn't, and on and on. But the funny thing is that they KEEP TRYING every week! Hello!
The other thing I found: I was still able to access my checking
The other thing I found: I was still able to access my checking account on line after it was forced back open by the debits. I checked every day and I could see where the bank would list the debit and then return it and replace it by a nsf charge...that's how I knew they were still trying. I had gotten a letter finally from the bank saying I needed to clear the charges by such and such date or they would permanently close my account which is what I asked for the month before!! So I went in and printed like 8 months back so I would have it for my records ..now I can't get in there at all but at least I know that account doesn't exsist any more.
sad
Pretty damn sad when the bank won't offically close your account when you need them too, but by God, if you have NSF on there, they'll close it in a second. Then you're screwed because your bank closed your account, blah, blah. If they would cooperate and close the thing when requested - this wouldn't be an issue. Closed is closed. This whole "forced open" thing just crawls under my skin. But, sure enough, when you're in the hole with them for NSF fees, they close it! Guess it won't be "forced open" either. Go figure that one out!

Jenn,
Oh, they will debit, I revoked on all of my remaining 5 and guess what? On Friday, Paychecktoday.com debited for the full $260.00, but it went into overdraft since I had taken ALL of my money out of the bank! I will fight the bank now, they are crediting that if it kills me since I have proof that I told them not to take the money from my account.

All in all with charges, etc from the payday loans, the account is in the negative 967.00 but, if that's what I have to deal with for them to finally close it, then .....I'll deal with it now!

Yes...Bflow...I am on the same page as you...I think my account when they finally froze it was at $1100.something....ridiculous as it is...I read somewhere on here that a bank told one of us it was our fault because we gave them permission...well what about when we took that permission away...who gets the blame then?? There is the biggest problem...no one taking responsibility...and I swear the people I had talked to at my old bank were totally clueless..they actaully acted like they had no idea what I was talking about.

My bank as well, morningstarr, I have come to the conclusion that I don't want them to be in charge of my financial doings anyway, if they won't help when I need it, what good ar they?
documentation
It's a good thing to keep ALL documentation. That way, if you have to play games with the bank, the pdl's, the agencies you've filed complaints with, etc., you will have proof in your hand that you revoked all these privilidges and they did not abide by that. It will also show that you revoked their privilidge BEFORE their next debit (and the next one and the next one) and yet they still kept on trying to debit your account. So - send out the letters. At least you'll have SOMETHING to back yourself up with.

That is such great advice, cannr. I kept everything, every little email, etc. They aren't going to say they didn't receive my letters, etc. when I have proof they did. I revoked privileges to debit two full weeks before my due date and they still debited two more times, now they can't!!! Of course, I'm so upside down in the bank, they'd probably laugh just to see something try to go through at this point, but... that was the bank's choice for not helping me the right way.
hell
I'm sorry you're going through such hell with your bank. But, I can honestly say, that with a couple of my pdl's, I sent the letters BEFORE the FIRST payment was to even come out - once I found out that they were charging WAY over the amount legally owed - and they STILL attempted to debit my account! Hello! Then when the debit was rejected, I got nasty emails. I emailed them back and forwarded my email that I had previously sent and told them they obviously did not read my email or chose to ignore it or whatever, but I was trying to work something out with them BEFORE this was to even happen! Did that do anything? No. They tried to debit again the next week. Then I get letters in the mail talking about arbitration. I'm like - Whatever. I've got EVERY SINGLE THING I have ever sent or received with the dates on it showing I tried to contact them and work with them. I don't know if they don't read it, ignore it, or what. But I guess that's their "tactics". They're going to debit you no matter what you do. That's why the best thing in the world is just to close the account. And that's not to be "mean" or try to screw them out of money or anything. It's just protecting us because we know that they're ignoring our correspondence and debiting every single week no matter what. It still amazes me. Why? I don't know.

Well, as they say, this too shall pass. Iwill find a bank account, I willget through this PDL mess and I have already found the best support there is out there, ALL OF YOU GUYS (AND GIRLS, LOL)!!!
