Busy this morning!

Hi everyone,
I posted my topics before under payday trouble(s) before I realized I needed to use the name above! So my info about my loans was posted under that name. anyway, I called my bank this morning and they will not stop the ACHs and they will not do a hard stop on all debits. I can't close the account right now because I am overdrawn. What I did do was contact my payroll dept and revoke my direct deposit to my bank, which I had to get done by 10 a.m., and I did! So now, I will just have to cover the NSF charges, which is a lot better than the 15 payday loan withdrawals I have! After I get my paper paycheck, I plan to square things with my bank account, then close it. I also have my letters ready to go out revoking my wage assignments, certified, return receipt today. Sent a copy to HR. I have also filed on line complaints on each one of the pdls with my OK state Consumer Credit office, and have printed out the complaint forms for the AG office, just have to get some more ink to print all of them. How am I doing?

Good - But the bank will be an issue. The pdl's will try and try to get their money. Your account will go very negative.

But it has to be done. You are doing the right thing, and I'm glad you were able to get a paper check in time. That is awesome! You will have a paycheck! A full paycheck! Yay!

Anyways, once your account goes negative the bank won't close it. It will continue to go further into the red because the pdl's will keep trying. After a certain amount of time, usually about 30 days, the bank will finally freeze and close the account. Then you can try to make some sort of deal with them to pay off the balance. But be sure to also include in this deal something saying that they will keep you off chexsystems. If they don't agree, or report you anyways, please PM me your state and I can help you find another bank account. I don't want to scare you with any of this about your bank, but I want you to be prepared. It very well could be what will happen. It's happened to many of us before.

You are off to a great start! Keep us updated on your progress.

Thank you so much for the encouragement! What I am hoping to do, is when I receive may paycheck--I think by Monday, anyway, I can run to the bank and deposit what I'm overdrawn, then close it. And still should have money left, because the pdl woul have taken out a lot more than the NSF fees will. Anyway, I will keep you updated.
