See how they like it
We should have a 'Clean out the lonesharks' day
everyone open up a bank account, take out as many as you can, then close up shop and run with the money..mind you, do this only with the known to be operating illegal ones....see how they like it for a change.
*sigh* I know I know...down to their level and all that..but imagine the headlines...
Payday Loan Borrowers strike a lethal blow to unscrupulous payday loan companies:
In a shocking attack borrowers from all over the united states got together and attacked the payday loan companies, sending many belly up.
*sigh*

I do feel your pain--and noone has been hurt more by PDL's than me, but two wrongs don't make a right here. When the smoke clears, we would still be liable for the PDL...

exactly my feelings, kscornell! It's tempting sometimes, to hit these companies where it hurts...but in the long run, who has to face up to what was done? YOU.
I can't tell you the number of times I've told my kids..."it doesn't matter what the other person does - it matters what YOU do and how you react to what's done to you".
When all is said and done, you are the one who has to deal with the consequences of your own actions.
I appreciate your fustration. We all feel like that at times.
I appreciate your fustration. We all feel like that at times. I know the more I read, the angrier I got too. My situation although bad for me, is not as bad as most. In that one or two moments of insanity, I would love to see those headlines. But, I stay with the forum not only to help me but to learn so I can help others. Moral debates aside, the only way we will someday put a stop to or have any effect on these illegal companies is if we keep fighting using the legal avenues we have been advised to use and have advised others to use.
I know..I was only kidding (well..ok..mostly kidding.) I
I know..I was only kidding (well..ok..mostly kidding.) I don't know about those from other states but I do know that any internet pdls doing loans in Texas is breaking Texas law (if they are not licensed) this is actionable....to bad everyone from Texas couldn't get together and sue their butts off. :)

I agree very tempting, but then you'd still have to pay them back the principal, so they'd have one lump sum borrowed and then given back. Doesn't seem to be worth it.
I think we should have some computer hacking going on. Like standing outside of a storefront with picket signs, have someone place picket signs on their websites so as people are trying to give them their account information they have a big ole sign saying DON'T DO IT! staring at them.
I just can't see these illegal companies, who don't bother spending the money to get a license will spend money on their internet security. Which really makes a person wonder about putting their personal information on these sites.....
