Does anyone have a Fax # for this nice?????people, Northway Financial? Thanks

They are bad news. They will call your refs to flush you out. They used to work out of Malta but were kicked out from what I have been told. They will still give you that address. I found them very quick to settle for about 60 percent less. Probably because they know they are illegal. Do not give in to them.

They never were in Malta. That was just a virtual office; what we used to call a mail drop. They claimed to have a lending license there but I don't know a) how to check Maltese government records and b) how a license to lend in Malta could possibly give a Canadian company the right to lend to Americans.

jj, I respectfully differ. Northway may have a license and a virtual office in Malta, but Cash Transfer Centers operates their business out of call centers in Winnepeg, Manitoba (for customer service) and Surrey, British Columbia (for collections). There's also a lawsuit pending in Florida against Northway's affiliate, Coastline Credit, that was served on them in Ireland. My educated guess is we have an Irish lender with a Maltese license using Canadian call centers to make loans to Americans.

I have the same problem as everyone else here. I have a loan with CTC that I couldn't repay in full. I am working with Town and Country Acceptance out of Alabama. CTC keeps calling me constantly. I am sending them partial payments every week, but they continue to call me. I have learned that they are not licensed in Kansas where I live, so I'm looking into whether they could have even made a loan to me in the first place. If anyone has any luck with getting them to leave you alone, please let me know.
