Langhorne only wants money for their fee

You can go through a debt settlement company...if you want to do that you should call Langhorne to see what happened...several people on here have used them as well as T & C. Or you can try to work them out yourself. Most of us have/are doing that. If you could tell us where you are....what loans you have out...how much was the original loan and how much have you paid so far...we can better direct you in your quest. When listing your ipdls please don't bother with fee's just how much you borrowed and how much has been sent back to each one.

I'm confused . . . . Why would Langhorn be sending you a retainer? Wouldn't you be retaining them? Hence, sending them the retainer?
How Langhorn works is you set up an account that you put money into each month. Once there is enough money in the account, Langhorn starts negotiating with the pdl's. Once a settlement is reached, the money is paid out of your account. Yes, you pay Langhorn a fee, which is based on the total amount of prinicple you owe, but no business works for free . . .
If you could explain some more about your issue with Langhorn it would be appreciated. If you did have a bad experience with them it would be good for others to know.
