I called trying to be nice and explained my situation. I cannot afford to agree to the 6 payment arrangment AND pay my car note, food, utilities, etc. I asked who I could talk to about a settlement. Her response? "We don't do settlements" and then "You don't qualify for a settlement". WTF? I paid them $20K for $10K worth of loans?? OMG I am seething. I said well what am I supposed to do to qualify? She said "We don't do settlements". OMG. Then I said well I can't agree to the arrangement, and she said "You will continue to get collection calls". I asked if I can still send in payments as I can afford, she said yes...to pay online using new bank account. "I don't have a new bank account!" She said "Well we accept Money gram or Western Union." I CAN'T AFFORD to pay Money Gram/Western Union fees!

UGH!!! So freaking frustrated...I hung up. :(

Seems like you have got into payday loan hell like many others. :( Anyway, if they are not willing to settle the debt, then you can go for payday loan consolidation and try to repay the debt. But before that whether CashNetUSA is legal in your state. If they are not, then you should not pay any more money. You have already paid the principal amount and you can ask them to return the remaining amount.

CashNetUSA is legal, and I do have to pay them back. But they are not workign with me on payment arrangement terms. Paying them back $500 per paycheck is NOT doable because I have had a reduction in hours and I have too many bills to stay on top of (which I can do better without these stupid PDLs).

So, does anyone have any suggestions? Is this ALL I can do with CashNetUSA? Just pay as much as I can until I get the balance down to a reasonable amount? Thoughts??

CashNetUSA is relentless. They will not cooperate. Close your account and tell them to send it to collections or just wait until they do. Then, you can work out a settlement with the collection agency. If you've already closed the account, then just ignore their calls.

I would try one more time. Tell them you cannot afford the arrangement they've offered. Give them an alternate arrangement that you can afford and tell them if they can't agree to your arrangement then they will just have to send it off to a third party collector. I would try doing it though email; that's how I did mine "support(at)cashnetusa.com"
