what happened to the site

What's going on with the site??? it seems really messed up.

Social comments...the threads that are showing up in the main DCC site  are old and there is no menu to get redirected back here.  I have a bookmark in my tool bar to get back to the main forum but 99.9% of the people pursuing these boards won't.  Has your tech team bothered to check this out???  This is website formatting 101!!!

I am so sick of the spam....

The spam is really bad I have to say. Honestly the stage the forum is at now is where I would expect it to have been while in development and still a month out from being live. Making this site live in this condition was bad move.

And Soaplady, just noticed that haha.

There are still tons of 404's showing up and the redirects either suck or are non existant.
Plus the integration of social answers just seems foolish.

So now we as mods cannot delete spam...what the hell is your tech crew doing?  The spam filter is not catching this stuff and now we cannot delete the spammers posts.  Lovely.

Maybe you should also tell your tech crew in India that in the CASH IN DTCC POINTS that the american spelling of CHEQUE is CHECK.  (Cheque is used in canada and the british commonwealth.)  Get rid of the word ENCASH too...this is not a part of american vocabulary.

At this point, I am for anything that deals with the amounts of spam we get daily. The spammers are having a field day and it's getting old.

As promised we have shifted to a new platform (Drupal) - We would appreciate if you can send us your suggestions and opinions regarding our new forum platform. If you notice any bug please feel free to notify it here so that our tech members can work on it.
As always looking forward to your valuable feedback.

I deleted 3 spam manually, answered the post and 2 more spam posts popped up in the same thread...of course they were payday loan spam which will never be caught by the filter.

Why must you be so stubborn about the registration issue??  Your thinking is in the dark ages!!!  Spam is up, traffic is down....all I have done this morning is delete spam that is not being caught by the spam filter. I spend my time looking for posts...and there have not been many.  And yet I go to the other forums and there are tons of questions being asked!!  Guess what....they have to register at all the other forums and surprise....they keep returning!!!!  Make posters register and have your tech team work on the real issues of the forum.

Dear Mods

It would help us if you can send us the url of the post that is partly visible. A snapshot will also help. I repeat please clear all your browser cookies once.
As far as points are concerned we have updated all the data now. So I would request you to check if the credit points is working ok now. If not, we request you to send your access details so that our tech members can match old data with the new one and adjust points accordingly.

We are working on the deletion and email address issues as well.

Looking forward to your cooperation.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! It is beyond annoying to see threads from 2008 popping up with spam from 2013!! It just slows things down. I would suggest auto-locking anything from 2011 and before.

We are working on the spam filter section so that we can reduce the number of spams in the long run. Right now, we know there are issues with spams. Hopefully, we will be able to restrict them considerably in the future.

Looked over the forum today...obviously nothing has been fixed. Only 10 posts to be deleted via the moderator panel. Deleted them. However it did not even touch the amount of spam still in the forums. Every new post is spam. I could not find even ONE legitimate question of post. Instead of advertising this as the "Internets first get out debt community", it should be the "Internets WORST get out of debt community". Fire whoever the hell you hired to build this version...

I would have thought that shifting would mean improvements. This is a fucking disaster!!!

-Broken links...fragrmented old posts
-No mod panel....how do we get rid of the spam??
-When I go to "posts since last visit", almost NO posts appear and those that do, have emails instead of user names. I do NOT want my email visiable.

This new version is NOT user friendly. Typing in this little box vs the old larger box is a pain. If I am typing a long answer, I want to be able to see the whole thing, not have to scroll up and down.

On top of that, my points when DOWN by over 900 points on the conversion night. That is almost $10!!!

I am now answering more questions in social answers...this new format totally sucks.

DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE FRIGGING  SPAM AND THE UNREGISTERED POSTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The spam filter is NOT catching the spam ...however the filter is catching LEGITIMATE posts which again we have to waste time picking out!!  What the hell is your IT team doing?????  It is over a month and this site is still a mess.  How long do we have to be patient?  Hardly anyone is posting questions??  It I showed up here as a person is financial crisis, I would move on very quickly.  This site is SOOOOOOOO unprofessional.  It does not give anyone confidence that we can help them.

We have listed all your points. We will fix the bugs according to priority. Spam is  a BIG problem. We made a data base of spam texts so that they don't come again the next time they are posted. However it seems  more NEW spam texts  are pouring in. We will again have to work on the NEW spam texts. As far as genuine posts getting blocked, we would request members to send content of the post so that we can find the particular text that prevented a post from being posted in the forum. We will then remove the text from our spam text list.
We have already given the delete option for moderators. If you find any areas where the delete option is not working, please send us a snapshot of the same or url so that we can work on it.

Jason...spend 15 minutes looking at the site and find them yourself....they are everywhere!!

I looked for new posts today....tons of spam that has to be manually deleted. In 10 minutes of browsing, I could not find a single new post. Our biggest complaint has been unregistered posters and spam and they are still here. YOU go do the deleting......I am not wasting MY valuable time manually deleting posts for nothing. I like other mods, will spend my time posting on other user friendly sites with no spam.
This is too damn frustrating and a huge step backwards. YOU spend your evening deleting crap....

We have inserted the deleted post option for moderators. Waffles can you please send us a snapshot of the email address view issue (where you are noticing them) at jason@debtconsolidationcare.com
Are you referring to email address in user page section? In that case I have already notified to my team members. Post view is working fine from here. Can anyone please elaborate where the posts are not visible. A snapshot will help.

how did user "bluenyobe" post two posts in this section?

Also, lots of bugs. Jason, I actually started typing up an email for you because I could not even see the mod's section or a lot of other things. After refreshing the page numerous times it finally became visible. Dont know what happened, but a ton of private messages are simply gone--the newest private message I have in my inbox is from three years ago, and everything that used to be in there since then is gone without a trace. Will post more as I look around, but this is a total mess.

Jason, two error messages that I just got--these showed up in red text at the top of the page:

I know...no one is posting and if they are, I am not wasting my time looking for them. This is such a cluster fuck.

Now mods have to do the captcha?????

Our tech team is working on blocking mod forum from registered members.
We are working on the others bugs too. We are trying to fix them one by one.

We are requesting everyone to clear their browser cookies once. Please bear with us for the time being.

I am not understanding the point of this new build. It is a step backwards. It is not user friendly and the only posters seem to be spammers. WHY???

We know there are problems. Any new platform will have problems. Since participation is generally low in our forums during this time of the year we decided to shift now. We know there are issues related to points (specific cases only),spam posts etc. Our tech members have already started working on creating a db of spams words and urls so that they get blocked the next time they are posted in our forums. Also like I said before our tech members are looking into the points issues and trying to match the new points with the old ones. So we will need some time to look into it so that the point issue can be taken care of. We would request you to share your access details incase you feel there are point mismatch. In case of post view issues, please send us a url or a snapshot. Its working ok here.

Well I have had enough...I must have deleted 800 spam thru the mod file, and still there is TONS of spam in the forum. I cannot find any new posts to even attempt to answer...on top of that my points when DOWN again. (Still not explaination on the nearly 1000 point drop early this week.

I will not be posting or bothering with this site until the old forum is put up and fixed.

Cashing out.

How come my email pops up? Not only do people know my email they know my last name as that is my email... I have to say when I am on a forum and they change platforms I usually am the one loving the new style. Not this time. This is really buggy and I can't think of one way it is better than the old site. We should go back and try to refine the old system.

Jason,
Here is an example of the problems that I see: Today I went to a thread called "Payday Loan Threats". The first comment (which should be the most recent comment, right?) was dated in 2011--and the kicker was that the comments that followed were dated in 2005--which was more than EIGHT years ago!
Although these old comments are still important, there has got to be some way to create an archive for them, as we can all agree that they are slowing down the site right now. And we all know that most of our threads are like this. Maybe keep everything from the last 12 months on the current site and archive anything up thru 2011?

Sorry to be such a pain, but here is another issue I've discovered. There is a thread under the Tax area that is titled "What if I was given a washer or dryer for no money?" There is a response from Soaplady under it and a spam post under her reply. I tried deleting the spam (which it would NOT let me do, btw) and also tried to add a response, which it would also not let me do. WTH??? This is the reason why people leave this site.

Site is much harder to navigate now and I really miss not having the posts since your last visit feature. And I am completely on board with Soap Lady re spam deletion. NOONE has time to go into each thread post by post to delete.

When I go "unanswered posts" I get this message "The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed or
is temporarily unavailable"

Waffles...I no longer can see "Post since last visit"...and I have brought up the fact that our emails are visible. I do NOT want my personal email visible to the general public. Consequently I am not posting..not that I can actually find any posts that need answering....

I am I wasting my time here????
