Post Deletion issues

Dear Mods

Someone had deleted this post even though we are seeing there is nothing in this post which called for deletion. Its a request to all the Mods to not delete such relevant posts. These frequent deletion will have a negative effect in our forums in the long run. So please go through the post before deleting any.

Here's the snapshot of the post..

I would also like to hear from you about any possible measures that we can take to prevent genuine posts from being deleted.

Jason

Jason,

I've noticed that a lot of threads and/or posts are being held in "moderation" status that I can't see a reason for the hold. No links, no defamatory comments, bad language, solicitation.

I've spent lots of time lately "approving" posts rather than deleting them.

I think some of the mods, when something is sent to moderations status, just delete-delete-delete, without reading.

I'm not sure if that was the case with this post or not but it's a thought.

So I guess I don't have a solution other than maybe to see if there's a glitch in the spam filter?

Yes you are right OG since the software is running on an open source platform, we don't have much control on the spam filter. However our tech team is looking into it and it may take some time.

As you know we have started Social Answer recently and queries are pouring in. We would like to see you all there as well. Soon we will be giving the moderation rights for Social Answer to our forum mods. Since it has been developed by us we will have more control on the spams there.

Aubrey we did miss you and also the other Mods who are probably busy these days. Hopefully they will be here soon.

Jason

I guess I am one of those mods who has been busy as of late (LIKE the new look, btw), but I can say that the only posts I delete are ones that are obviously spam, obscene or pormographic. A reminder to read the posts before deleting is probably warranted.
