I received a call from them today. I laughed because the automated message said it would pause for three seconds in case anyone was nearby so I could walk away and no one could hear the message but me as it contained private and personal information and that by continuing to listen to the message I was acknowledging that I was the person they mentioned. I was really hoping at the end it would say this message will self destruct in three seconds.

I just got the same call they tried my mobile then called my roommate's mobile which was bizarre. Indian accent, told me i have debt w T mobile who I haven't used in YEARS. When I contested he asked me for my SSN at which time I hung up. If this is the real deal they need to send me something in mail. Oh btw they were also asking for consent of recording the conversation. I said no. The number came from 866-355-9587.

As per FDCPA guidelines, the collection agency cannot contact neighbors, relatives or employers regarding your debt. Next time, if the collection agency calls your room-mate regarding your debts, let them know that they have violated laws and you may take actions against them.
